U8 Annual Curriculum

The U8 curriculum is an annual curriculum with a fall and spring practice schedule.  Please refer to the schedule in the curriculum for the proper session for the week.

U10 Annual Curriculum
The U10 curriculum is an annual curriculum with a fall and spring practice schedule. One training session per week is provided.  Please refer to the schedule in the curriculum for the proper session for the week.  For teams practicing twice a week, the coach may select practices from the curriculum, from the U8 curriculum, or from practice plans the coach creates.

Clinic Handouts

U12-U19 Pre-season Coaches Clinic

This practice plan and handout focuses on teaching the role of the Second Attacker.  It includes a tactical practice plan designed to teach the basic concepts of supporting the player with the ball.

Fall 2013 U6 Coaches Clinic - Ball Mastery/Dribbling
This practice plan and handout focuses on the first U6 practice in our curriculum.  The emphasis is on using games to get the player comfortable with the ball, and creating a fun environment that gives the players lots of touches on the ball.

U12-U19 Sept. 2012 Coaches Clinic - Training First Touch
This practice plan and handout focuses on training first touch.  The focus is on a positive first touch to space, although as the session progresses, there are many opportunities to talk about negative first touches that protect the ball.

U6-U10 Oct. 2012 Coaches Clinic - Passing Basics
This practice plan and handout focuses on introducing U8s and U10s to basic passing technique.  The focus is on the most important technical coaching points and the session is oriented around fun games to keep the kids interested and involved.

U12-U19 Oct. 2012 Coaches Clinic - Passing Technique
This practice plan and handout focuses on instilling proper passing technique.  The session is purely technical and begins teaching in the warm-up phase of practice.

Own the Ball - D3 Coaching Handout
This handout focuses on making the right decision to carry the ball in space, rather than pass it.  Contains discussion of the reasons to make the decision and things to do in practice to train the decision making process.

1st Attacker Tactics - Fall 2013 Preseason Clinic

This handout discusses why we train first attacker tactics and provides a basic practice plan that focuses on 1v1 attacking for penetration.
