Scott Placek serves as LHYSA's Director of Coaching and Player Development.  For the past 25 years, Scott has worked with various select clubs around Austin as a Director of Coaching or team trainer. 


After spending five years as Director of Coaching for the River City Rangers, Scott was hired as the Men's Soccer Coach at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas.  After a three year stint at Ozarks, including two years as a head coach for the Arkansas Olympic Development Program teams, Scott returned to Austin as the Director of Senior Programs for the Longhorn Soccer Club.  In 2004, Scott was instrumental in merging the Longhorn Soccer Club with two other clubs to form what is now the Lonestar Soccer Club.  Since that time, Scott has worked with the Round Rock Soccer Association and the Crossfire Soccer Club.

In 2008, Scott moved to Liberty Hill, and is excited to join LHYSA to work with our coaches and referees.  He holds an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and a USSF C License.  In addition to his formal licensing, Scott has been privileged to spend time with FK Teplice, a first division professional team in the Czech Republic, to observe their youth development programs.  His time in the Czech Republic resulted in two articles published by World Class Coaching magazine.

In addition to implementing the LHYSA Player Development Program, Scott will be conducting regular coaching clinics for LHYSA coaches and players.   He will also serve as the U6 Coaching Coordinator.
